About The Nerd's Herd
The Nerd's Herd started as a rabbitry, raising mini rex, English Lop, and Tan show rabbits. After getting a couple goats, which reopened my love for the animals, I started focusing on them. I used to raise mixed breed full sized goats in high school, when I fell in love with La Manchas. I ended up moving to town and had to sell my herd. I finally got my first goat, A mini-LaMancha when my friend told me she was selling her. I ended up finding another doe, a nigerian dwarf, and brought them both home, as well as a Nigerian Dwarf wether. I still have the doe I fell in love with, Catnip. I have increased my numbers, and now have a trio of registered Mini-LaManchas and a pair of registered Nigerian Dwarfs.
I focus on quality over quantity, and prefer twins over any other litter size. I breed to standard, and aim for show quality animals, but have yet to attend a goat show. While I do not breed for color, I do prefer black and Swiss goats, and want moonspots and blue eyes in my herd. Currently I mostly have buckskins.

About The Owner
Hey, My name is Jennifer, and animals have always been my passion. I grew up most of my life on 27 acres where we always had dogs, cats, and chickens, as well as multiple small pets through the years. We also lived in a small town in Colorado for 3 years while I was in school. That was where I had my first rabbits. They were mixed breed pets, but I loved them. I also had a rat at the time, and a beautiful Quarter Horse mare I would ride on the trails near my house. My adventure really began in 2008/2009 when I got my first goats. I had a fairly small herd of mixed breed animals, but I fell in love with raising them. Soon after, I started breeding Mini Rex and got into showing. Now it's my pride to breed show quality animals in every breed and species I raise. My first rabbitry's name was Majestic Dragon Ranch, and I raised Mini Rex and English Lops. I also had my mixed breed goats for awhile, though I didn't sell any with my Prefix. I then joined rabbitry's with my friend as Amerose Rabbitry. She still raises Mini Rex and Netherland Dwarfs under this name, and we split because I moved locations. So The Nerd's Herd was born. I am a proud member of MDGA and TMGR. I just got back into goats, and I'll be breeding Mini-LaManchas and Nigerian Dwarfs. All my animals are bred to the SOP, and I strive to provide fellow breeders with the best animal I can produce. I have made a big move recently, as well as working full time, so please bear with me as I try to keep everything from getting cluttered. I am now located in Rocheport, MO. I am also a professional dog handler and dog trainer at a local Doggy Daycare.
I do have a few pets that don't fit in any catagories. I have my Border Collie mix, Sparrow, and my cat, Trouble, as well as my livestock guard dog, Aayla, who is an Anatolian Shepherd x Great Pyrenees. All my dogs and cats are on Purina Pro-plan, and I'm more than happy to help you find the right diet for your pet, be it raw or Kibble, as I've done both. I try to feed what I find works best for every animal I own. The goats get hay and pasture, and the does in milk get Kent Goat feed and a goat balancer. My wethers, bucks, and bred does get as little grain as possible. I've spent my life studying animals and the last few years I've dived deep into nutrition of all types. I am also an advocate for fit and healthy canines/animals, and would love to share what I've learned. Below are some pictures of Sparrow, Trouble, Aayla, and some other animals who have lead me to this amazing life.
